Waking up this morning to see that one of my absolute favourite weddings has been published on one of my favourite blogs was a complete dream come true!

This past April, I had the immense pleasure of flying out to California to photograph a wedding for an incredibly sweet and trusting bride who fell in love with my work based on only a few Instagram posts. I knew from the second that Rebecca emailed me that this day was going to be something special, but I can’t even begin to describe just how much this day meant to me.

Rebecca’s maid of honour found me on Instagram almost a year ago, and since we were in completely different countries throughout the entire planning process, we weren’t actually able to meet in person until the day before her wedding. I’d be lying if I said that situations like this don’t make me even the slightest bit nervous; but over the last few months I noticed that she shifted from being a complete stranger with a dreamy venue to an actual friend who would text me her wedding details as she was planning and tell me how excited she was that I thought her bridesmaid dresses were drool-worthy.

This entire weekend was one of the most welcoming experiences I have ever been through. From the second I met Rebecca in person at her venue and was greeted with the cutest “AH YOU’RE HERE!” and a hug, to the moment I left the reception and Jeff gave me one of the kindest farewells (after karate-kicking with his best man) I could almost tangibly hold the love they have towards everyone around them. From just being with them over the course of this day, it is so easy to see why their friends and family were so infatuated and overjoyed with their relationship. They are generous, gracious, and thoughtful, and I am so thankful that a simple hashtag posted on social media at the perfect time brought them into my life.

Today, I am so beyond excited to share that their wedding day has been featured on Wedding Sparrow. Click here to view their beautiful blog post!

Thank you to all of the vendors involved in their beautiful wedding day!
