IT HAS BEEN SUCH A LONG TIME SINCE I PHOTOGRAPHED AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT SCARBOROUGH BLUFFS, BUT THIS NIGHT WITH EMILY AND EMMANUEL MADE ME WANT TO MAKE IT A REGULAR THING!
Since the last few Springs have flooded so many parts of Toronto, shooting at the Scarborough Bluffs has turned from a simple walk-on-the-beach to a full-on off-roading adventure. Thankfully, Emily and Eman we’re totally up for the challenge during their visit from Boston and managed to hike through massive amounts of water and mud to get to the shoreline!
When Emily and I were first talking about where we could potentially photograph their engagement session in the Toronto area, the Scarborough Bluffs were the first location that came to her mind. Since both her and Eman are from out of the area, they didn’t have the same attachment to a location that a local couple might. That said, the bluffs were somewhere that they had actually visited together on a past trip and already had happy memories together!
I love when couples are able to think of somewhere that they have some sort of emotional attachment to when it comes to their engagement photo spot! Being able to look back on these photos and think of the first time they visited before being engaged makes for even more of an impact than if it were their only time being there!
TO SAY I’M EXCITED TO SHARE THESE PHOTOS IS SUCH AN UNDERSTATEMENT!
Not only am I so happy about how this location worked out for them, I’m also just so thrilled with how all of the other choices they made came together. Emily put so much thought into their outfits for the session, and this truly might be my favourite engagement session dress I’ve ever photographed! Scroll down to see how absolutely gorgeous this day was!
