I’ve been keeping some gorgeous 2019 weddings to myself for far too long. Sharing this one at Honsberger Estate Wintery is particularly overdue!
When I think back to Brittany and Kevin’s wedding at Honsberger Estate Winery, the very first thing that comes to mind is the incredible sense of family and togetherness you couldn’t help but feel throughout the entire day.
These two truly made a point to soak in all of the small moments with their loved ones. From the tearful morning hugs with Brittany’s mother, through a perfectly imperfect windy ceremony entrance, all the way to the heartfelt speeches; everyone who witnessed their wedding day left feeling warm and loved.
The couple chose to incorporate simple and classic elements that made for a day that feels truly timeless. They let their venue do the heavy lifting but added emphasis to the best parts of Honsberger. I loved the soft touches of blue and their organic floral arrangements full of texture. By far my favourite design element, though, was the long harvest tables to spark conversation.
The most memorable moment of the day for me to photograph was actually one that surprised me!
When Brittany started walking down the aisle towards Kevin, massive gusts of wind followed. When I say massive gusts, I mean it was compared to the beginning of the Wizard of Oz by multiple guests. Obviously, this took a toll on her veil and hairstyle. When she got to the end of the aisle, this made both of them burst into laughter!
Kevin delicately put her veil and hair back into place before kissing her and giving her a look of pure adoration. Beyond anything else, this moment defined their marriage for me. It is going to be one that is so full of love, and so willing to roll with the punches.
