As many of you are well aware of, I made a resolution this year to blog more. To be more exact, to blog once per week. To anyone who hasn’t been following along, I’ve been failing at it… Pretty miserably… Sorry, January version of myself.
Maybe it’s the fact that it was a New Years resolution and it was doomed from the start along with all of my past “go to the gym and stop watching Netflix” goals. Maybe it was totally attainable and a mix of laziness and that absolutely terrible month long head cold made me throw in the towel. Whatever the reason, I’ve been seriously lacking.
One thing I did notice while I was in my prime, though, is that putting your thoughts out into the universe really does have a way of connecting you to other like-minded people. In the past few weeks almost all of my inquiries have had little snippets like “we loved the photos from your trip to Banff!” or talking about how much they resonated with what I said while swooning over photos from Iceland yet again.
That’s why I’m making a new goal.
I’m still going to blog more. I’m still going to attempt to do it every week, or at least bi-weekly. I’m not going to get down on myself if I can’t make that work because life happens. Most importantly, I’m going to put my goals, thoughts, aspirations, and pretty much everything out there because there is absolutely nothing that feels nicer than getting an email from an excited bride who couldn’t be happier because she feels like you just get each other and were sisters in another life.
A few years ago on my birthday I made a bucket list of places I wanted to go before I turned 30. I’ve crossed off a couple here and there with a road trip to Eastern Canada (above), a few trips to Iceland, and a quick visit to the Grand Canyon, but I thought I would follow the same idea and write a bucket list of places I’d like to photograph people in sometime during my career. Any husbands, wives, fiancees, or even just best friends who would like some photos of themselves exploring the world together – here is my dream list! I hope that the universe will bring us together so that I can be a part of your adventure!
