It is always such a joy to photograph such huge moments in a couple’s relationship —

Even more of a joy, though, is photographing that same moment for friends. Danielle and I have known each other since the age of fourteen when we met in a shared class in the ninth grade. It is so surreal to me to think that on the day we met, I had no idea that I would witness such huge parts of her life. I watched her begin to fall in love with Pete just a few short years later, saw them continue to fall in love on dinner dates at the Keg when I was waitressing my way through college, felt my heart jump out of my chest when I saw them announce their engagement on Instagram, and now have had the insane honour of being their wedding photographer and photographing these engagement photos at the incredible Beamer Falls Manor in Niagara.

Beamer Falls Manor was our dream getaway —

We teamed up with Danielle Shaw of Shaw Events to plan a perfectly elegant session at the beginning of Spring, but it was actually only a few weeks before their wedding day! Having this time together so close to the wedding was the perfect excuse for them to escape their wedding planning for an evening, spend a day together, and really allowed everything to sink in!
