These two are the exact reason I love my job so much —
The first time I met with Emily was for her initial wedding photography consultation and what was supposed to be a formal meeting turned into us splitting a cheesecake, talking about dogs and Nintendo for about two hours, and me leaving while feeling like I had just found one of my new best friends. Needless to say, when she proposed the idea of joining her, Pat, and their dog Charlie for a super casual evening at his family cottage for a Kawartha Lakes engagement session, I was beyond excited.
Pat and Emily are some of the most down-to-earth, funny, and just straight up charming people I have ever met. Most of the day was spent with Pat drinking beer on the docks, me inconspicuously trying to find Pokemon even though Emily warned me there weren’t any, and debating whether or not Pat’s t-shirt featuring an eagle, monster truck, and Mount Rushmore was cool enough for photos or not (I still think it is and should probably be a standard for all of my engagement sessions).
