Putting the finishing touches on this Holcim Waterfront Estate wedding today had me so giddy I couldn’t help but share.
A part of me never wanted to stop staring at these photos on my computer screen just so that I could relive this day over and over. Why? Because Carly, Matt and their two children are simply put, some of the most genuinely kind and welcoming human beings you will ever meet. I’m having a hard time putting into words what this wedding day was like, but to put it into as few words as possible; it felt like being surrounded by family.
I met Carly almost two years ago after she sent me one of the most excited emails I think I’ve ever received, giving me all of the details of how she found me (she went to prom with one of my favourite grooms of all time! How insane is that!), all of her wedding plans, and most importantly, telling me all about Matt. The next thing I knew, I was sitting at a Starbucks across from her and her adorable maid of honour Alysha, watching her eyes light up every time she mentioned his name or talked about their two kids Chase and Harper.
Watching these two people become husband and wife was such a dream come true, but even more of a dream is that I now get to watch this little family walk through life together.
Matt and Carly, congratu-freaking-lations! I’m so excited for this new chapter in your lives and am even more excited that your photos being done means we get to have celebratory beers together!
