I TOOK A LITTLE BREAK FROM PHOTOGRAPHING FAMILIES FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS, BUT THIS SESSION MAKES ME SO EXCITED TO BE CAPTURING THESE MOMENTS FOR FAMILIES AGAIN.

One of my favourite parts about photographing weddings is the obvious importance that comes along with a wedding day. Those images end up being passed on for generations, loved and adored by family, and hung on the walls of your homes to be seen every day. What I’ve realized in the last little while, though, is just how important all of the other little moments of life are as well.

Looking at these sweet photos of Vanessa and Craig lovingly awaiting their little one just makes me think of how special these images will be to them in the future. One of my favourite parts of this session is that the first half was actually photographed in their unfinished nursery! I picture their baby boy looking back on this time before he was born in the place he’ll soon call home and just feeling how much love was already there for him from the very beginning.
