I THINK IT IS PRETTY OBVIOUS THAT I’M A SUCKER FOR AN ELORA ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Since the construction of the Elora Mill started last year, I’ve been so excited about shooting more and more in my own area and basically jump at the chance to shoot here every chance I get. It’s so hard not to fall in love with the gorgeous views of the Grand River and all of the stone detailing that makes it look straight out of Europe!
Candace and Scott met while they were both working at a restaurant that I know and love. Even though they don’t live in the area now, my own current hometown of Fergus is a place that is near and dear to their hearts. When we started chatting about their engagement session, they didn’t have a clear gameplan but knew that wherever we ended up needed to bring in the charm of the place that helped them fall in love!
IN A HILARIOUS TURN OF EVENTS, SHOOTING THEIR ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT VICTORIA PARK AND AROUND THE ELORA MILL WAS ACTUALLY OUR BACKUP PLAN!
The first location that we chose ended up having a movie filming there at the exact time we planned their session to start. With only a split second to decide where to change our location to, I ended up driving them straight to Elora and had absolutely zero doubts that their session would be even more beautiful than they had imagined. We ended up spending the evening exploring somewhere new to them that was only steps away from where they spent so much of their time as a new couple and made new memories for them alongside their little pup Halle!
Special thank you to Rose Beauty Co. and Hair and Makeup by Amanda Zack who somehow made Candace look even more beautiful than usual with hair and makeup!
